  • Service Description

Drug and alcohol screening plays a critical role in supporting workplace safety, reducing risk, and promoting a fit-for-work workforce. In safety-critical industries, impairment from drugs or alcohol can significantly increase the likelihood of incidents, injuries, equipment damage, and harm to workers and the wider community. A well-managed screening program helps PCBUs meet their obligations under Work Health and Safety legislation and supports the effective implementation of workplace drug and alcohol management policies.

RITE4SITE provides professional workplace drug and alcohol screening across regional NSW — on-site at your workplace, from our purpose-built mobile screening unit, or at our facilities. Servicing Dubbo, Wagga Wagga and New South Wales, our mobile unit lets screening be completed efficiently with minimal disruption to operations, making it ideal for construction sites, mining operations, infrastructure projects, transport depots and remote work locations.

  • Screening Programs

RITE4SITE offers a full range of screening programs to suit your policy and operational needs:

    • Pre-employment screening
    • Random screening
    • Blanket (whole-of-site) screening
    • Post-incident screening
    • Reasonable suspicion screening
    • Return-to-work screening
    • Targeted screening

We understand that incidents and operational requirements don't always occur during standard business hours — so we offer flexible scheduling, early-morning screening and after-hours call-out to support you whenever screening is required.

  • Standards & Compliance

    Standards & Compliance

All screening is conducted in accordance with the applicable Australian Standards, ensuring a consistent, professional and defensible process:

    • AS/NZS 4308:2023 — Specimen collection and detection/quantification of drugs in urine
    • AS/NZS 4760:2019 — Specimen collection and detection/quantification of drugs in oral fluid
    • AS 3547:2019 — Breath alcohol testing devices

Where required, RITE4SITE facilitates Chain of Custody screening for both urine and oral fluid samples. All Chain of Custody screening and laboratory confirmations are managed through NATA-accredited pathology providers, so results are legally defensible and collected in accordance with recognised industry protocols.

A well-designed screening program, built around these standards and your workplace drug and alcohol policy, supports your PCBU duty under Work Health and Safety legislation to provide a safe, fit-for-work environment.
