  • Certification & clear reporting — systems tagged and certified, with a written report covering condition, non-conformances and corrective actions.
  • Part of HMC Group Solutions — a regional NSW safety and training business trusted across the mining, civil construction, renewables and drilling sectors.

  • Service Overview

An installed fall-protection system only does its job if it's maintained — a roof anchor or static line that hasn't been checked is a fall waiting to happen. Inspekta inspects and recertifies permanent height safety systems across regional NSW, in accordance with AS/NZS 1891.4:2025 and AS/NZS 5532, so your system stays safe, operational and inspection-current.

Height safety systems must be inspected at least once every 12 months to maintain their structural integrity, confirm effective fall protection, and keep workers safe. A current inspection is also central to meeting your work health and safety obligations and preventing fall-related incidents. Servicing Dubbo, Wagga Wagga, Newcastle and New South Wales, we support mining, civil construction, renewables, drilling, facilities and trades wherever people work at height.

  • Manufacturer-Trained Inspectors

Proprietary anchor and lifeline systems have specific, manufacturer-defined inspection and recertification requirements — so who inspects your system matters. Inspekta's competent inspectors have completed training from leading Australian height safety manufacturers, including:

    • SafetyLink
    • Kattsafe (formerly Sayfa)

Our inspectors are qualified in height safety system inspection and certification, enabling them to assess and certify your system's compliance with AS/NZS 1891.4 at the time of inspection, and to identify and report any non-conformances.

  • What We Inspect

    • Roof anchor points — surface-mounted, retro-fit, tile and concrete anchors
    • Horizontal lifelines & static lines — cable systems, energy absorbers, end and intermediate posts
    • Rigid rail systems
    • Walkway systems & guardrails
    • Ladder & access systems — fixed ladders, ladder brackets and fall-arrest rails
    • System labelling & signage — load ratings, user limits and inspection tags.
  • What Our Inspection Involves

    What Our Inspection Involves:

    1. System review — we review the installed system and any available as-installed documentation or previous inspection records.
    2. Component inspection — we physically inspect each component for corrosion, damage, wear, secure fixings and structural condition, against AS/NZS 1891.4 and (for anchors) AS/NZS 5532.
    3. Load testing where required — anchor points and fixings are load-tested/recertified where the standard or manufacturer requires it.
    4. Certification & non-conformance reporting — compliant components are certified and tagged; non-conformances are clearly identified with recommended corrective action.
    5. Tagging — each system/anchor is tagged with the inspection date and the next inspection due date.
    6. Detailed report — you receive a written report outlining system condition, any non-conformances, and recommended corrective actions.
  • Compliance Standards

Our inspections are carried out in accordance with:

    • AS/NZS 1891.4:2025 — Industrial fall-arrest systems and devices: Selection, use and maintenance
    • AS/NZS 5532 — Manufacturing requirements for single-point anchor devices (the anchor standard)
    • AS/NZS 1891.2 — Horizontal lifeline and rail systems

Is a system inspection legally required? Falls from height are a leading cause of workplace death and serious injury in Australia. As a PCBU you have a mandatory duty under Work Health and Safety law to manage the risk of falls, which includes keeping installed fall-protection systems maintained and inspected. AS/NZS 1891.4 sets the recognised inspection regime, and a system without a current inspection tag should not be relied on. A documented annual inspection is how you demonstrate you're meeting that obligation.
